Fun City CD
« on: August 13, 2013, 07:36:32 PM »
Hey everybody, today I had the Fun City CD by Jan & Dean delivered. It's pretty nice. It's a CD-R that's manufactured on demand when one orders is it from Amazon, but it is in fact an official release. And it's cool to finally have great stuff like "Fun City" and "Little Queenie" finally out there on an official CD. I'm pretty sure it's vinyl sourced, but it's still pretty nice sounding. The package itself is pretty nice looking too.

I'd also like to mention how much that on "Blue Moon Shuffle" Jan really sounds like how Brian Wilson would sound around the 2000s. Kinda weird.

Yeah, it was digital only for a long time. Nice to see a CD available.

Hopefully, there will one day  be a release from the master recordings.

All in good time . . .

And hopefully any release from the master recordings will include Mother Earth - in my opinion the best of Jan's recordings from that period :)
