That's cool!  Some of those sound rare!

Just had 'Dead Man's Curve/The New Girl in School' arrive on C5!

Wow, that was an amazing story to read!  I didn't know about it before.  I also didn't realise that Frank Sinatra was so powerful back in the day.

I imagine that Jan maybe wasn't too happy with Dean the way that Jan & Dean's prospects were reduced by the situation (at least film-wise), although saying that Jan may have supported Dean if Dean didn't know it was a serious kidnapping.  I also wonder if there were any music related actions taken by the powers that be that effected their music careers?

The ending about Jan's car possibly being sabotaged in order to create an accident is the most chilling of all and wonder if Jan ever suspected any foul play?

That's good to hear that the C5 CD's have good sound, will probably get all the Jan & Dean ones, I think they are as follows:

Dead Man's Curve / The New Girl in School C5CD 550
Drag City C5CD 560
Ride The Wild Surf C5CD 562
The Little Old Lady From Pasadena C5CD 574
Take Linda Surfin' C5CD 584
Surf City and Other Swinging Cities C5CD 585

Pity they didn't release Batman, shame to hear that the mastering is not too good on the One Way version, especially as it is the only version on CD that I am aware of.

Anyone purchased any Jan & Dean releases recently?

Just got Drag City (3.33) and Surf City (3.22) on C5 Records, the first CD editions released in the U.K. in 1990.

Would like to purchase a copy of Command Performance/Batman but it is either 127 or 194 on Amazon!  Wish they would re-release it with the original artwork.
