As i m aware. Jan didnt write it. He asked roger to add new words to catch a wave with a skateboard theme. Maybe mike wasnt credited as brian wrote the music, its the same with folk city. Why no brian credit, its a rework of surfcity,

Its a shame Don altfield and jill gibson, along with roger christian, didnt carry on as a team with jan, on a professonal level,in the 70s, as together they wrote some great songs,

Why wasn't Dean vocals on the jan and dean label added to the cd. Making more a jan and dean album. Also how did Dean get hold of the tapes jan was working on to add his vocals?

My 3 singles would have been. In this order.1 Blowing my mind bw tijuana. 2 Hawaii bw laurel and hardy. 3 Only a boy bw love and hate. Hawaii has the surf feel to it,and if i m correct screen Gem or warner only wanted new songs, so tijuana was blocked from the album, but ok as a b side.

I set my cd player to play the tracks in this order. All mono . Fan tan, carnival of sound, hawaii, laurel and hardy, i know my mind, blowing my mind, still of the night, stay, louisana man, mullholland, this is on an a lp with liberty on the A side, first 5 tracks, and warner on the B side for the last 5 tracks, i put this onto a cassette. Have a listen to the lp jan had pressed up. It gives the carnival of sound a different feel.
