DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Dennis and Dean
« on: Today at 11:12:32 AM »
Just recieved my copy of the beachboys with the philharmonic orchestra. Have to say I prefer the originals. One thing it has who played on each beachboys songs. It say hal blaine played on a lot of the recordings, both dean and dennis at times had other people doing their parts. Looks like brian wanted hal over dennis.

DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Popsicle lp
« on: June 27, 2021, 08:45:38 AM »
With unreleased tracks in the vaults, why did liberty not use them, instead of songs already released. I understand the vol 3, but popsicle could have been a better album had unreleased tracks used. Everyone gone to the moon, time and space, i m sure theres more tracks. To me its a mixture of ride the wild surf and little old lady lps.

DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Jans production
« on: February 20, 2019, 10:37:53 AM »
Back in 1967, john lennon was not happy with strawberry fields. It was recorded and put together first part of one version and the 2nd part from another version to give john the closest to what he wanted, but was never happy with the finish. Does any know if jan wanted to rework any of his productions? Maybe wasnt happy with what he done.
