DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Jan & Dean Publications/Books
« on: October 05, 2013, 09:01:39 AM »
Having read my 'Carnival of Sound' CD booklet many times, I wondered what Jan & Dean publications/books are available?  I am eagerly awaiting Mark Moore's two publications but in the meantime could anyone give me some others including title & author?  I am not going to get hung up on inaccuracies so these are not an issue.  Many thanks.

I have seen in pictures a ring that Jan wore and wondered if anyone knew anything about it?  Here is a picture showing it:

DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / JAN & DEAN - DEAD MAN'S CURVE 2 CD SET
« on: September 02, 2013, 11:00:03 AM »
I am considering buying this 2CD set entitled 'Dead Man's Curve', released by TOMA/Iceni in 2005.  I have read that disc 1 is Jan & Dean demo's of their hits but don't want a Dean & Mike CD, has anyone got this set?  Is it actually original Jan & Dean demo's from the 60's?

Disc 2 looks very interesting with several Jan Berry 1970's recordings - Tinsel Town, Don't You Just Know It, Little Queenie, That's the Way It Is etc.

Any help with the details of this release would be much appreciated.  Also does it come as two slimline cases housed in an outer slipcase?

Thanks.

DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / New Jan & Dean Purchases
« on: September 21, 2010, 12:45:43 PM »
Anyone purchased any Jan & Dean releases recently?

Just got Drag City (£3.33) and Surf City (£3.22) on C5 Records, the first CD editions released in the U.K. in 1990.

Would like to purchase a copy of Command Performance/Batman but it is either £127 or £194 on Amazon!  Wish they would re-release it with the original artwork.
