Title: Underrated!!
Post by: jdman on July 14, 2015, 06:21:30 AM
I know I'm posting a lot, but I'm learning a lot lately. I got on YouTube and created a playlist of Jan's productions and arrangements for other artists(1963 and before). Deane Hawley- Queen of Angels, You Conquered Me. Gents- Jump in the Line, Why Do I Love Her. Matadors-Perfedia, I Gotta Drive, Ace of Hearts.
I wish I could find the Pixie song. Anyway, listening to these songs that were done before Jan met Brian shows how talented he was and how underrated he still is.

Great Stuff!!!

Don't forget The Angels' I Adore Him - Jan didn't produce, but he co-wrote and it sure sounds as if it could be his arrangement.

No doubt. I was strictly talking about his arrangements and productions. But he may have arranged that one. Jan wrote hits for 7 different artists by 1964. So if you're talking about compositions, that's pretty impressive also! Not even Brian did that.
