For those of you interested in Jan & Dean record collecting that are not aware of Popsike, it is a cool website to see past sales of rare Jan & Dean records.

DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Dean & Social Media
« on: June 11, 2016, 06:24:25 AM »
I have seen it mentioned here that Dean does not like social media but he does have an active Instagram account and posts great pictures.  His Instagram account is listed as deantorrence.  His favorite subject seems to be pictures of street rods with flames painted on them.

DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Dore' We Go Together Picture Sleeve
« on: December 18, 2015, 08:35:16 PM »
Does anyone know about a re-issue of this picture sleeve from 1988 like this ads mentions? I am wondering if there is any notable difference between the re-issue and an original?

Seller states: Original US 7" 45 with 1988 reissue picture sleeve. P/S is mint. Record has EXC labels. Vinyl has few marks, scuffs, plays fine, EXC.

DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Jan & Dino
« on: December 05, 2015, 07:14:31 PM »
Anyone see this on EBAY?  Sold for $280.09.

Jan & Dino--It's A Shame / The Submarine Races--Liberty acetate, no #.  Original 1965 Jan And Dean acetate for Liberty Records.  The actual tracks were It's "A Shame To Say Goodbye" (from Folk 'N Roll) and "The Submarine Races" (from Ride The Wild Surf).  Liberty Records cancelled the release of this intended single; it had already been assigned a catalog number:  Liberty 55816.  Instead, "It's A Shame To Say Goodbye" was released as the B-side of their next single, I Found A Girl (Liberty 55833).    The playing surface is VG and the acetate plays well.  This is an 8" acetate with an extended intro area that many companies used, not a 7".  The labels are clean, but show some discoloration due to aging.  Note the typo on the A-side:  Jan & Dino!  Very rare and collectable 1965 acetate for a single that was never released by a major record company.

DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Jan Berry's Smile LP
« on: November 15, 2015, 03:14:32 PM »
I truly believe that if Jan did not have his accident he would have come out with an album way better than Brian Wilson's Smile in 1967 to 1968 that would also have been far superior to Carnival of Sound. I think Jan's album  from this era would be so good it would make Sgt.  Pepper's look bad.
