DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT / Stevie Berry

I've read in a few places that Jan's son Stevie Berry died from complications of AIDS.  Is anyone aware of the how/why he contracted it (did he have drug problems, unprotected intercourse/homosexual, etc?).

I guess its not really any of my business and a part of me feels bad for asking, but having read it and finding nothing out through online searches curiosity got the better of me.  The only things I found where about how angry he was once he found out Jan was his biological father and that he never forgave him for it.
