Jan & Dean Album idea-Greatest Album Cuts
« on: September 04, 2015, 09:18:52 AM »
On I-tunes, I made a 15 song playlist of Jan & Dean's best album cuts from 1963-64. All of them are Jan Berry compositions and only 2 were co-written with Brian Wilson. So here it is:
1) Three Window Coupe
2) Bucket T
3) Surfin Hearse
4) Hot Stocker
5) Skateboarding Part 1
6) Wiamea Bay
7) B Gas Rickshaw
8) Surfin Wild
9) Walk on the Wet Side
10) Rockin Little Roadster
11) Barons West LA
12) Drag Strip Girl
13) Move Out Little Mustang
14) Old Ladies Seldom Power Shift
15) When I Learn How to Cry

"B Gas Rickshaw" AKA "Quasimoto" is an ace instrumental.

I think the "Rally Packs" were another Lou Alder for the Fantastic Baggy's .
If I remember there was a 45 with Move out Mustang /Bucket Seats and instrumental Originally titled "Old Ladies Seldom Power Shift".

Jan Berry produced both sides of the Rally-Packs single. It's one of the releases that got him in trouble with Screen Gems in 1964.
