NEW BIOGRAPHY — DEAD MAN'S CURVE: THE ROCK 'N' ROLL LIFE OF JAN BERRY, by MARK A. MOORE (McFarland & Co., 2021)
Nice songs but the vocal is kind of annoying, don't know how to describe it but there's a bit of an irritating slur. Stopped listening to the Beach Boys ages ago. Still listen to some of the really early ones and some later Lps,Surfs Up and Light Album, on the rare occasion. Until next time

Stopped listening to the Beach Boys ages ago. Still listen to some of the really early ones and some later Lps,Surfs Up and Light Album, on the rare occasion. Until next timeI have to agree although I think Brian has a great voice for his age. But I have never been a fan of the newer projects of the Beach Boys or Dean. I'm just really into the original stuff. I have very little interest in 60-70 year old singers trying to come back. Although Brian did some good stuff in the early 2000's. Also, Johnny Cash surprisingly had some good recordings at the end of his life. But for the most part, I very seldom buy their new stuff and this album will be no exception. I didn't download the last Beach Boy album either. It just didn't appeal to me.
