I am really looking forward to the album! I just wished it could have been a Beach Boys CD! That would have made it all the better!

Most artists build their catalog in their 20's and then run out of creative steam.  Not Brian!  He is truly amazing.  I  will always believe that Jan deserves credit for showing Brian how to produce music in the the early years.

I agree Mike. I don't think there is any question that Jan showed Brian some early tricks in the studio. Brian even said it.

Nice songs but the vocal is kind of annoying, don't know how to describe it but there's a bit of an irritating slur. Stopped listening to the Beach Boys ages ago. Still listen to some of the really early ones and some later Lps,Surfs Up and Light Album, on the rare occasion.
Until next time

Still on the fence about this one.

The SURF'S UP album does contain some of their most brilliant moments - and a few silly ones. Great album.

I have to agree although I think Brian has a great voice for his age. But I have never been a fan of the newer projects of the Beach Boys or Dean. I'm just really into the original stuff. I have very little interest in 60-70 year old singers trying to come back. Although Brian did some good stuff in the early 2000's. Also, Johnny Cash surprisingly had some good recordings at the end of his life. But for the most part, I very seldom buy their new stuff and this album will be no exception. I didn't download the last Beach Boy album either. It just didn't appeal to me.

I got the new CD with Brian's autograph.  I think that some songs are nice, however, I am not impressed.  I can listen to Jan and Dean any day.

i also think Glen Campbell has some great stuff in his later years! I dont think he ever toke a break from music! And his last single got best country song of the year!!!

One for the collection, however prefer Jan and Dean

Would like to have seen an Album in the 70's of Brian and Jan,instead of the single he worked on with Jan,Now that would have been a great Album,
