RIP Kim Fowley. Kim was an absolute character. He was a producer and promoter with a long career in the music business, including "Alley-Oop" with the Hollywood Argyles, "Popsicles and Icicles" by the Murmaids, and tons of other stuff . . . not to mention the Runaways with Joan Jett. Kim played a role in steering Jan & Dean to Lou Adler in 1959. I recently transcribed my 2004 interview with Kim. It was a total riot! The guy could turn a colorful phrase, to say the least.
