Question for Mark
« on: December 24, 2014, 08:25:22 AM »
This is not intended to be morbid, but might appear that way to some.. But in the documentation of Jan's recovery is it photographic, as well as, written? Are there photographs of Jan in ICU for example? I know you've mentioned previously the accident investigation photos that exist.. Morbid minds want to know.. :o

If any photos like that exist (or existed) I have never seen them.

It is sad that more photos don't exist. Perhaps there were contractral issues; perhaps everyone was just more modest; perhaps it was just a sign of the times but...

I wish there were photos of Jan and Brian in the studio; of the Fantastic Baggies / Matadors laying down backgrounds; of the wrecking crew; of Jan and / or Dean in the studio; of Jan producing. I know we have Jan's Pop Symphony shots but not much more. There are hardly any pictures of Jan and Brian together and they worked together on so many songs.

I have followed Jan and Dean for years and think I have seen most pictures - unless there is a secret treasure trove!!

Yes more photos of Jan and Dean in studio, outdoors, photo shoots, but photos of Jan in intensive care?????come on, do you really want to see that. Let's stick to the music.
Until next time keep it fun, that's what J & D's all about.

I would be very  interested to see more pictures of Jan in the studio with Brian and perhaps with the Beach Boys or other artists.  That would be very cool.
Who would want to see pictures of Jan after the accident or being in ICU?  First, it would not be a good sight and then it would be disrespectful to the family.  It was very painful to many close to him. If there are any pictures like that, please do not post them.. that's not right.  Stick with the music and try to find a way to get Jan & Dean induced in the R&R Hall of Fame. :)

After Jan's train accident there were plenty of pics of him in the hospital bed . Liberty in an attempt to capitalize on Jan's car accident . Put pics of him and his crutches on Album covers ...... Even though those were from the train not the car. I would have to say there were prob a few photos taken of Jan and guest in his hospital room.
