Great song!  I really think it sounds more like a Beach Boys song than a Jan Berry song however.  There is a marked difference between the two.

sounds like all three to me, Beachboys County Fair, some of  the drumming sounds like a Jan Berry Production, vocal arrangement  Gary Usher.

Thanks guys, I'll take any of those comparisons as a compliment.

I guess in my mind it has a J&D influence more in the inspiration (and style) of writing it, along with the slight horn stuff in the chorus and second verse. The spoken bit in the middle was me trying to do a DMC type thing. Plus (in a perfect world) I picture Jan singing it...

I suppose anything I do in this genre is filtered through BW, JB, GU... along with Terry Melcher... not to mention the Fantastic Baggies.
