Jan Berry's Parents Home

Jan Berry's parents home rebuilt in the early 1960's after the fire.  It sure has appreciated since the 1960's! Click on "bird's eye view" for a picture of the house.

I've been there. This was the site of Jan's infamous garage studio, before it burned down in 1961. Jan's '58 Stingray was also damaged in that fire (but was later restored and sold).

The view here, looking down the terraced terrain, is breath-taking, even today.

It's easy to imagine how much more beautiful the view would have been in the '50s and '60s, when there was far less development in the vicinity.

Would that also be the place that Jan and Don Atfield threw all of the 45's like frisbees over the hill Mark that they got in the mail for K-JAN Radio?
