This one was fun to work on with Dean. It was great getting them to add "Eleanor" after I insisted Dean included it. It didn't take much to twist his arm… As he loves the track as much as I do.

Better mix… But not stereo. The second version listed on this is from the 1986 compilation, Silver Summer.

ahh The Silver Summer version... that was nicely done....

So the original stereo mix is lost I guess unless someone can track it down at Sony, and I wouldn't think that it's a priority for anyone involved.  shame, as that stereo mix of was one of the highlights (imho) of Dean's SFARD.

The '85 version of "Like A Summer Rain" is my favorite re-recording by Dean.

We played it on "Kick Out the Jams" last year, when I was in New York City for Dave Marsh's Sirius-XM radio show.

He did a real good job with that didn't he?

Sadly, if you try to recreate a complete stereo version of  SFARD,  it 's just a touch too polished to fit properly... and my vinyl copy of the original is rather noisy.   :-[
