although I'm not  big fan of some of the rap stuff on it I think it's a great cd. too bad jan didn't do more solo stuff.I DO wander if he has any stuff in the vaults other than the stuff we know about..if so they need to release a jan berry boxset

 SECOND WAVE is currently selling for $237.78 (new) and $59.99 (used) on Amazon. Maybe a reissue would send the prices down - I'd love to hear Jan's final musical statement.

There was an earlier version we did of Spring Break (which I thought was far superior to the one that was released).  There's other stuff in Jan's solo catalog that exists (as you know), but it's really unclear who owns the rights to those recordings and songs.

There's some really great stuff!  ...And some not so great stuff...  But a good ending note for Jan.

For those looking for a fresh copy of Second Wave, it looks like the 20th Anniversary Reissue will indeed be happening, most likely with an early 2018 release date on Wounded Bird.  Enjoy!

That is great. Will there be a few tasty extras? The rapping never quite works for me - I wondered if there might be versions without. I know Jan liked it so not being disloyal I hope.

The Second Wave 20 Anniversary Edition will indeed be released May 1st on Wounded Bird.  There will be two bonus tracks not previously released, the original recording of "Spring Break" and a version of "Get That Girl" with a brief spoken intro by Jan & 'Dean'...

Unfortunately the liner notes and photo are the same for this release.  There may be an article about this new reissue in ESQ, talking about the new bonus tracks and other (still) unreleased recordings from that project, stay tuned...

I have many pictures of Jan working in the studio during the time we were putting this project together and maybe I can share some of them here if there's any interest in seeing them.
