I agree . . . But right now, with Dean's various old remakes muddying the waters in the digital market -- stuff that has been falsely marketed as "Jan & Dean" over the years -- it's absolutely vital that the original '60s J&D versions be available in that same medium for context.

It appears that even Capitol can't get the rights to publish the "... Meet Batman" cover.

Nice Amazon samples.  The bonus track listed on "The Little Old Lady..." does not play the alternate of "The Little Old Lady..."

Maybe EMI in the UK can release a complete set of the Liberty albums.  EMI seem to be releasing huge sets of UK artists for little money (see The Hollies).

I think it's a matter of not wanting to spend the money, and not wanting the headache of trying.

Capitol is addressing a very specific and pressing need with these digital releases.

It's not like this is the end of the road . . .
