There is a special video (youtube i made) I'd love to share ...that i felt was perfect for April 12th.  But I can't reach Cecil Musick who filmed it to let him know.  Here is a picture from the very moment.  It was summer of 1993 in Eaton, Ohio. 

A person in the audience shared some words to Jan, just as the "breath-holding" pause always follows Jan's speaking part in "Deadman's Curve"  (Bob wrote about it on page 60 of his book...again, hard cover)

Listen carefully to the audio pieces in the beginning and end from two of their most precious comeback appearances with the Beach Boys...summer of 1978 / So, in the first one...Jan says how much he appreciates the applause (and Dean says "thank you" too)...and then!  at the end...(so special !! ...) ... they pick up with their unique J&D humor (right where they left off in 1966) ...this time DEAN teasing Jan now... (Jan used to be a teasing Dean in Phase 1 (in my opinion)

(like Joseph indicated about something "Jan & Dean" the other day....it's kinda like potato chips...he said you can't eat just one.....er something like that he said....  i am having trouble with one computer.....so now I REALLY am finding it hard to stop monkeeing around on the movie maker!!   (...maybe it was Jeffrey from Massachusetts...who got me thinking about potato chips....well one of my fellow fans!)

Thanks for these videos ! I really like this material. Do you have more ? Like the rest of the "more applause"-interview?
And I love that interview where they sing to just an acoustic guitar. Is there more of that "performance" ? And from that rehearsal (I guess) that can be seen in both clips?

May I say that they looked much cooler in those t-shirts than in those hawaiian shirts?

That's about it for those interviews...just trimmings left. 

The t shirts attire seem to have been while they were practicing....but actually...in another 1979 or 1980 appearance, they had a t shirt on during the performance.  (Lord willing, I will put that one on later)   I like both types of shirts!!

I agree with this....I especially noticed it in the audio humorous part at the end of "more applause for Jan & Dean" when Jan laughs after Dean says "we don't remember the words"
But I always truly appreciated Richard's acting and portrayal of Jan...although....based on even what Mr. Phil Sloan said that other night in the interview....I feel they wrote Richard's part far too harshly of the Phase I Jan's behavior...i think, to get a point across. 
Never could figure out how they could have left the parts out regarding:  1.  the Paramount movie, including the train accident on first day of filming   and 2.  the tv pilot   and 3.  TAMI  and   (not in that order, of course) ....and more!
