Jan on 'Silver Summer' and 'One Summer Night/Live'

the silver summer album is the better of the two deans albums. What I Would like to know, whats the reason for the jan and dean story to be recorded,and did jan get money from sales.

I put the ktel album on, i never noticed on ride the wild surf, it has a strings section on it, i also like sidewalk surfin. I have a jan and dean illustrated world wide discography and a lot of repackages were released in Holland, singles on gip and uk creole labels. Even ktel/edigsa in spain.. I wonder how many people have the picture disc?
