  Regardless of one's assessment of "Universal Coward" - satire, dead on serious, good, bad, or ugly - this may be THE primary reason Jann Wenner has made it his life's mission to keep Jan & Dean out of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Wenner doesn't care for Republicans, Surf music, or 60s L.A. pop in general. Three strikes and J&D are apparently OUT.

 Can I prove any of the above? Nope just conjecture.

According to Jan's friend Suzanne Graeber, who lived with him in the early '70s at Park Lane Circle, Jan voted Democratic after the accident.

The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame is highly politicized. No question there.
