Somebody stole this one!  Goldmine price guide says it is worth $600.00.

For such a rare disc, it looks like someone ruined it by putting a sticker on the label. That could explain the lower price.

Looks like a name and address . . . Long Beach, California.

Also, I'm not sure people really appreciate how rare that 45 is. I've always heard that there were some records pressed as Jan & Arnie, but I'd never seen it.

Was 522  Dore' with Jan & Arnie issued in the "promo" version only or were there regular error copies too?

The early regular copies of this one were labeled "Jan & Arnie," too.  They're not errors, though--the suits at Dore' were apprehensive about Jan teaming up with a new partner on their first single with them and felt the record would sell better as "Jan & Arnie."  When it was clear the record was selling though, the suits went ahead and changed the label to "Jan & Dean."

This single was never released for the public. That is there were no stock copies pressed for the record buying public. There were 200 copies pressed white label only all tagged as promotional copy not for sale. No blue label copies exist. I doubt that all the 200 copies are still around. Extremely rare.
Until next time.

Thanks, BlackSea!  I'd thought that the first few stock copies were labeled "Jan & Arnie."  Dore must have intended the 200 promos for DJs, then, to "test the waters" with Jan's new partner.

Wow I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a copy! Fat chance though...
